Tachograph - Drivers hours

Introduction

Drivers of Goods and passenger vehicles are required to comply with drivers hours legislation.  Depending on their vehicle or activity this can be EU rules or the domestic regulations.  They must also comply with parts of the working time directive. This course looks at each set of rules and how they should be interpreted.  The course also covers drivers and operators responsibilities.

The course can be studied on its own or in conjunction with either TG1002 (Digital) or TG1003 (Analogue) over a 5 day period.

What you will study

Enforcement of the law in relation to EU Drivers' hours legislation, the working time directive and domestic legislation.  Prohibition powers for hours offences.

Teaching and assessment

Your course tutors will help you with your studies during the course. They will mark and comment on your coursework.

Whats the qualification

Successful candidates will be awarded an IMI certificate.

How to register

The course runs twice a year at our South Cerney training centre. Alternatively it can be run in your workplace for up to 12 people. To book contact Yasmin Newman in the faculty office at AiTS to arrange a suitable date.
