Assessment and scheme rules UCPD

Assessment - Classroom

The table below shows the route through the classroom based scheme. The UCPD (classroom) can be completed in one year (February start), is normally completed within two years and must be completed within three years.

ENGS 1003 Collision Fundamentals

Title Type Where Weight Rules
Maths Written Part I 10%
  1. You must pass all six coursework assessments.
  2. If you fail an assessment you may re-sit that assessment once only.
  3. You may re-sit a maximum of two assessments.
  4. If you fail a third assessment to progress you will have to re-sit the whole module.
Physics Written Part I 10%
Reconstruction techniques Written Part I 10%
Statistics Written Workplace 10%
       
Skid testing Practical Part I 5%
Recognition of marks Practical Part I 5%
 
Final exam Written DMU 50%
  1. You must pass the final written assessment.
  2. If you fail this assessment you may have one re-sit.
  3. If you fail for a second time you will have to re-sit the whole course.

Plan Practical Workplace 10%
  1. You must pass all three assessments.
  2. If you fail an assessment you may re-sit that assessment once only. You may re-sit a maximum of one assessments.
  3. If you fail a second assessment to progress you will have to re-sit the whole module and submit new reports and a new plan

The table below shows the route through the distance based scheme. The UCPD (distance) is completed in one year (January start).
