Road Policing Skills

Introduction

A three week course for new roads policing officers covering all aspects of traffic law. The course can be customised to suit your requirements in length and subject matter however IMI acreditation is only available for the full course.

What you will study

The course contains the following units;
  • Road Policing fundamentals
  • The construction and use of road vehicles
  • The prohibition of vehicles for visual offences
  • Large goods and passenger vehicles
  • The prohibition of vehicles for weight
  • Road collisions
  • General roads policing duties
  • Entry requirements

    Classroom based with practical inputs.

    All equipment will be provided

    Teaching and assessment

    Your course tutors will help you with your studies during the course. They will mark and comment on your coursework. There is a workbook completed during the course, one partical and one theory assessment at the end of the course.

    Whats the qualification

    Successful candidates will be awarded an IMI Award in Roads Policing Skills.

    How to register
